Jordan Shoots Self in Foot

Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders is a douchebag. He's also a racist and isolationist who wants to expel all Muslims from the Netherlands. But that doesn't make his criticisms of Islam any less accurate, and it definitely doesn't disprove the thesis of his film Fitna, which connects the motivations for terrorist acts to passages from the Koran. Whether right or wrong, however, douchebags still have a right to free speech. Regardless, a Jordanian prosecutor has charged Wilders with blasphemy and has demanded that he be extradited to Jordan to face trial. To their credit, the Dutch have issued a polite "piss off" to the idea, though the Organization of the Islamic Conference, a coalition of 56 Muslim countries, says it is "annoyed" with the Netherlands' decision. They say protecting Wilders "instigates feelings of hatred, animosity, and antipathy towards Muslims." Of course, demanding the extradition of a foreign citizen simply for annoying your delicate sensibilities kind of does the same thing. More details here.
