Attempted Witch Burning

I tend to have a generally optimistic view of other humans, but it's this kind of thing that makes me question my faith.  Darin Najor, a 20-year-old adult education student in Ferndale, Michigan (pictured here wondering what all the fuss is about), has been charged with assault and battery after dousing his teacher with holy water and trying to burn her with a lighter because he thought she was a witch.  Details are sketchy, but the incident apparently resulted from a discussion of Arthur Miller's The Crucible.  In addition to being criminally insane, it appears Najor also isn't much of a critical reader.  Nor does he understand how to properly burn a witch.  If someone's wet, you're going to have a hard time burning him or her.  Yes, even if the water is holy.  More details here.
