Scientologists on the Hot Seat

After a 10-year investigation, a Belgian prosecutor has recommended the Church of Scientology be tried on charges of illegal medicine practices, violations of privacy laws, the use of illegal business contracts, and extortion. According to the AP's story, the investigation began after numerous complaints of intimidation were filed with police by former Scientologists. 15 unidentified members of the church have been recommended for prosecution, and the filing goes on to recommend that the church be officially labeled a criminal organization. The church complains that the prosecutor has hounded them and that his recommendations suggest that they are already guilty. But don't all prosecutors think those they prosecute are guilty? Isn't that the whole point of a trial? Maybe Prince Xenu did it differently.
