Scottish Pseudoscience

The news from last weekend that Ukraine was opening a college for astrologers was kind of "ha ha" funny. Today's news that Scotland's otherwise reputable Glasgow University will soon offer a course in psychical research? Well, this is just sad. You may be asking, "What's the problem with learning about ghosts and demons? It's not like they'll be teaching people that there's any evidence of their authenticity." However, Professor Archie Roy, the class's teacher, says, "Psychical researchers have studied these events for over a century, resulting in evidence as to their authenticity." No word yet on whether the class will cover any evidence for the existence of the immortal Scottish Highlander. Read Scotsman.com's fairly skeptical article here.
