Robots aren't just for sex and/or comic relief in "Rocky" movies anymore. A team of researchers at the University of the West of England (a.k.a. the University of Two Words Too Many) are creating a robotic platform that would assist the elderly in their futile attempts at living a decent life. Sensors monitoring vital signs, wireless alarm systems, and electronic organizers would all be synced to a central in-home robot, which would also help oldoes with composing emails and pretending someone still cares about them.
